03 / My journey

It began with
making music fun.

Mum introduced Isaac to musical notes on a little Casio keyboard. The family’s first piano came next: a second-hand $200 upright, bought as a reward for Isaac and his mum.

There were sticky keys, years of independent learning and, eventually, a teacher who recognised how far he had already come.

A classical foundation.
Room to improvise.

Jazz is an established part of Isaac's musicianship. Alongside piano and conducting, he plays saxophone and drums and participates in ensemble performances.

He plays with a Melbourne High School jazz band. The group hopes to keep making music together after Year 12 graduation in 2026.

What comes next

Continuing beyond school is a plan the band is exploring. Confirmed performances, recordings and project news will be shared here as they develop.

05 / Teaching & accompaniment

Learning,
then sharing.

Isaac has taught piano since 2024. His own experience shapes an approach grounded in classical learning, encouragement and a lasting enjoyment of playing.
